My name is Ryan Simmons.  I started R.H.I.N.O. SURFBOARDS in 2005 after watching and helping boards come together for 7 years.  Taught by local shaper Mike Hickey, Soul Ride, I started making boards for myself because I was destroying them faster than he could build them.  R.H.I.N.O. is an acronym for, Ryan Hang's Inside Not Outside, a nickname given to me on a trip to Costa Rica back in 2003 by a good friend.   I surf mainly the Poles and the North Side of the pier,  but when it's flat everywhere I'll paddle to the South Side.  Travels includes : Puerto Rico, Hawaii, California, Baja, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and all over the Sunshine state.
